What is Individual Therapy?
Individual therapy is a process through which clients work one-on-one with a graduate level therapist. In therapy a safe, caring, and confidential environment is provided in order to explore the client’s feelings, beliefs,or behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify areas of their lives where change would be beneficial, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change.
Why do People Come to Individual Therapy?
People seek therapy for many reasons, from coping with major life challenges or transitions, dealing with depression or anxiety, to simply desiring personal growth and greater self-knowledge and awareness.
How Long does Therapy Last?
A client and therapist may work together for only a few sessions or for several years, depending on the client’s unique needs and personal goals for therapy.
