I have 17 years of clinical experience supporting people as they achieve positive change in their lives. I work alongside clients as they cultivate meaning, possibility, and increased well being during times of transition and adversity. I have a Masters Degree in Social Work, and continue to engage in postgraduate training. I work from a strengths-based perspective and believe that we all have within us the capacity to heal and thrive, far beyond what we often recognize. Engaging in the counselling process can be tremendously beneficial as we rediscover our own strength and resilience.

As every person has unique healing needs, I have a wide array of tools to draw from. My professional training includes: Mindfulness,EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing),  Interactive Drawing Therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Positive Psychology. My areas of expertise are  post-secondary students, survivors of abuse and trauma, those experiencing mental illness-children through to adults, and families who are navigating behavioural challenges with their children.  I am comfortable working with children, youth, and/or adults.

I have witnessed transformation and growth in the lives of clients, and in my own life. I overcome adversity through connection, humour, therapeutic work, mindfulness, and by continuing to prioritize my emotional well being. My greatest joy is my relationships with family and friends. Laughter can be the best medicine, and I am grateful to have people in my life that also appreciate this, and that laugh with me rather than at me (well mostly -grin-). I find my zen place around water and by getting out in the sunshine. As a busy mom, I am always working to prioritize exercise, as even a few minutes of movement each day benefits my mind, body and spirit.
